Build it big, build it once and build it to pay your children’s children!

If that is your dream as a network marketer, then you need the Five Pillars. When these pillars are in place, even the part timer and newbie will start seeing the reward of his efforts in a very short time.

If you are looking for a company to join, or simply want to evaluate the company you are already with, the 5 Pillars technology outlines a simple method to measure any company. PLEASE do yourself a favour and answer these questions with your critical eye.

The first pillar has to do with company leadership. Does the company management have personal experience building their own networking organization? Have they done it with integrity?

Let’s take look at the second pillar. Continue reading »

Last week I said I was going to say each of two different self talks at least 100 times a day, and then share in this lesson what happened as a result. And I made an interesting discovery.

A good self talk focuses on a particular area of struggle, and turns the negative self talk around to something positive. But that can be tricky. I have to make certain my self talk IS turning me around to the positive. Continue reading »

What is wrong with your life?
What don’t you like?
WHAT do you want to CHANGE?
WHAT do you want to BELIEVE?

I know what I want to change in my life.

Until now there’s always been a “BUT”. I couldn’t
believe that all I had to do was believe! Well… Continue reading »

A while ago I drew a comparison between apple pies and MLM. An apple pie needs 5 things for it turn out well – pie plate, pie crust, apples, sugar and spices, and an oven to bake it in.

In MLM, the 5 Pillars are what a company needs to have in place for the distributors to succeed. A company may have the greatest products and the best pay plan on the planet, but if it is lacking any of the 5 Pillars, you could lose EVERYTHING overnight. Your income and reputation are at stake.

When looking for something to join, many folks search for something like the “Top Ten MLM Companies”. This is fine if you are looking to invest. But if you want to be a distributor, then you need to dig a bit deeper. For example, the number one MLM did over six billion dollars in sales last year, but most of their distributors are starving.

A 5 Pillar Company is one where the average person can achieve above average results.

Today we’ll look at the first Pillar. Continue reading »

As I was reading through the chapter this time I was struck by the notes I penciled in the margin last time. I’m also struck by how lessons come from all directions when we need to learn them.

1. Michael suggests we look at previous lessons we’ve written, to be astounded and blessed by how much we’ve grown. But what if you look back at a previous lesson and find you have made NO progress… that you STILL haven’t applied the lessons learned?

2. Michael recently referred to the monkey on a friend’s back, and the serious problems it has caused that person in terms of health issues.

3. I’m told, The way you do anything is the way you do everything.

And then there’s David Haines’ brilliant lesson plan Continue reading »

We almost missed seeing Nathaniel come through the doors at the airport, because somehow we ended up going to the wrong place to wait for him. Thankfully the Edmonton airport is not huge, and when the time came close I remembered seeing balloons, off to the side in an alcove, when arrived half an hour earlier. When Ian, Andrew and I walked over there, it was teeming with waiting parents and group after group of sleepy, sunburned, white-hoody-clad kids bearing bags of toys and stuffed animals. Moments later, Mme Benham and her helper appeared, and Nathaniel wasn’t far behind. Continue reading »

I put my little boy on the schoolbus this morning, and I won’t see him again for two full days.

Today after school he is going home with a schoolmate he does not know, on a different schoolbus in the opposite direction to home, to go to the city with a man he has never met before, to spend the evening with a group of school kids and teachers in a hotel in Edmonton, and then board a plane at 3:30am for the first time in his life, to go to a different country.

Nathaniel is one of 140 children from the Edmonton area, chosen to go to Disneyland tomorrow! Six of them are from Nathaniel’s school. It is all closely supervised, all paid for, and every measure will be taken Continue reading »
